Starting to look like a hardware problem. Sorry.

Try setting the sample rate to 96k internal, running some audio into the analog in, then set up the routing so that it comes in analog, goes out digital. Connect digital out to digital in with an XLR cable, then route digital in to analog out and listen to it.
