I know this is a huge one to tackle, but I thought I’d at least plant the seed.  In the process of burning some brain cells – by attempting to emulate Lexicon Vortex registers – this thought resurfaced:  I don’t recall any device – pedal or rack – that has taken on true parameter-to-parameter morphing since.  Not to be confused with crossfading.  (I could’ve missed a unit or two over the past 30 years, though).

Never a stellar seller for Lexicon; mainly because no one understood how to use it.  This is just a thought experiment, but H90 Program morphing is next-level stuff.  If there is ample room for spillover, then … (surely morphing would eat up the rest of the bits buffer, and maybe then some).  The R&D costs alone …

A big ask, because I’ve also considered the varying numbers of parameters between algorithms, completely different parameter sets per algo, and different ‘placements’ for similar parameters (for example, delay time).

Plus the fact of at least 10 parameters per morph; all at intermediate stages simultaneously.  And (of course) you’d also need configurable time parameters for both Source and Destination.  Crazy concepts, I will be the first to admit.  That’s what I do.  Thanks for listening, while I got this one off my chest.

In all fairness to the new SIFT processing implementation, they really do ‘morph’ very nicely.  Those smooth glides between source & destination pitch values have become one of my favorite side-effects to mine.  Via EXP pedal, Performance parameter switching, etc.  Great stuff.

      Totally agree.
The new SIFT algos are quite remarkable.
By now, I’ve compared them to all the major players in the pitch shifting/harmonizing game and Eventide is king.
