      Hi

I have my H9 connected to my computer via USB and set to Midi Channel 9. Running Logic X Pro 10.3. When add the H9 as External Send or Audio Effect after a few moments of me twiddling with the knobs via the Application on the Mac it causes a stuck midi note on whatever synth i’m processing it through. Happens every time.

My other synths are on their respective midi channels and honestly i don’t even need to transmit or receive midi on my H9. How can I completely disable my H9 from sending out Midi over the USB.

      Thanks

      Clay

Since you say "i don't even need to transmit or receive midi on my H9", I'm not sure why you have the USB connected to the H9. Assuming you need to, you coulkd try setting it to THRU (this does not operate on USB, and should stop it from sending anything).

But, I am obliged to say that I think this is an issue with Logic. USB is a master/slave system, so anything the H9 were to send would not go to any other USB device unless the computer sent it. The H9 does not send MIDI note, in any case.

It is possible that the H9 is sending a CC or PC that is confusing Logic and causing it to send your Note on message – this can be stopped by turning these off on the H9 (see UM).

Thanks for replying. The only reason i have the USB connected was to access the H9 App on my Mac. I could use BT and access it on my iPad I guess and that will eliminate the USB connection

You can use Bluetooth on the Mac as well.  The H9 Control user manual explains how to set that up at around pg 4:
