I just become the proud owner of an old H949, which aside from needing a good "bath", is in nearly mint condition, and functioning what sounds like in tip top shape (with some occasional pot noise and feedback being a bit sensitive at times).
It also happens to be a unit wit the ALG-3 De-glitch option board already installed.
I have to say I was not expecting the unit to have the amount of character and diversity that it does given it's minimal feature set and design. The real-time controls of the feedback, lo/hi freq, and multiple delay times and modes make this thing a dream machine for wonderful spatial and non-linear free-floating atmospheres and "spaces". And it has this "tonal" character to it that just can't be quite described other than being "warm" yet "grainy" at the same time. now to figure out how to mimic this baby in a 7000…:)
I'm blown away that this thing was kickin it in 77'…
