Hi everybody,
I have a quite strange problem with my used bought Eclipse (Running software version 4.01).
I have it now for 2 months and I'm doing a lot of programming on during the band rehearsal. After a time period of round about 3 hours, the unit is getting slower and slower. When I press a button (let's say "Parameters" or "Hotkey") it takes longer and longer that the unit responses. When I turn it off and on again, the unit is responding fast again. Is that a thermal problem (the unit is not covered by anything and "breathe") or a hardware issue?
Greets

This is not a known issue. Your first step should probably be to return it to factor defaults (see UM).

Thanks for your fast response.
Are you sure, that resetting to factory defaults will solve that problem? The eclipse is always fast, when i turn it on. It's getting slower durig a period of appr. 3 hours. Then I switch it off and on again – and, voilá – it's as fast as before.
Is there a known bug in one of the presets simulating ModFactor and TimeFactor? It occurs to me, that the problem is coming up, when I use large presets.

As I said, this is not a known issue, so I cannot be certain that re-initializing the unit will cure it.
The MF and TF presets are very large, so do take time to load. Is it possible that this is your problem ?
For example, if you load one of these, it will take time.
If you then load a few small presets, say, those marked as crossfadeable, are they also slow?
Is your problem loading time, or response to controls, or what ?
Does it apply to all presets or just some of them ?

I know that large presets take longer time to load. That was only a suggestion what might be the reason for the eclipse getting slower and slower responding. Every press on a Hotkey, Setup-Key, or something else will give a slow response. It seems that my good ol' eclipse is working hard on something else. Even when I load a small preset that will not change that behavior. When I switch off the eclipse and on again, it is responding fast.

Sorry – no further ideas.
If you've tried returning it to factory defaults and this has had no effect, it probably needs to be looked at. Try a dealer or support@eventide.com.
