Despite hundreds of man hours of development with no less than four different developers over the course of several years, we have come to this painful realization: Because of the requirement to support DAW presets and automation, a great deal of control data has to be sent down a relatively slow MIDI connection. Try as we might to speed things up using a variety of approaches, the result proved to be slow, sluggish performance. We released an alpha version and testers agreed that, given the frustratingly slow response, E-Control is not useable and ultimately causes more frustration than benefit. As a result, we have made the painful decision to discontinue development efforts on E-Control.
