  I need a processor that will help with death metal style (e.g.: growling). The question is which device (Eclipse or Pitchfactor) can do the job of turning a weak vocal into a powerful growl?

  In my experience I find that Eclipse allows you to model the item with more possibilities than you can do with Pitchfactor. It has many more opportunities for intervention.

  So I would need two simultaneous algorithms (which the Eclipse has) such as pitchshift and something else?

  Yes, you can use either pitch that some distortion and ring to make the various versions of growl

  For now, I managed to find a "vocal transformer" effect on the FX card of my Roland VS2400 DAW. I inserted it into a weak growly vocal track, and decreased the amount of pitch and formant.
