Upon updating my Pitchfactor to V 3.0 or 3.5 my presets ALL became completely different. Now I know there could be some slight changes to some of the presets as some new options are available but should everything I made (all for different modes) sound entirely different? Luckily I backed up my presets to a Lib file and went back to version 2.3 and reloaded them.
The thing is that in the Lib editor when I save a preset page from v2.3 it saves it as being from an "unknown" device not as "PF". Once updating to v3.0/3.5 the "unknown" preset set would not load into my Pitchfactor. I went ahead and added the "unknown" presets onto the Pitchfactor stock preset file in the Lib editor and then Saved As as a different filename. The Pitchfactor in 3.0/3.5 did load that preset set but the presets were still entirely different than they were originally. Am I going to have to just go into "catchup" mode or whatever, find my setting and write them down and rebuild them or is there a fix for this?
Thanks! -

I forgot to mention: Is v3.5 worth the effort? What seems to be the general consensus? I've read about a lot of glitches in these forums but of course these are the troubleshooting forums.

Hi Halcyon_Digest,
Unfortunately, we had to break preset compatibility going from V2.3 to V3.0. We needed a new preset format to encapsulate these new features that so many of our users requested (preset naming, output volume). So, yes, you'll have use catchup mode and write down all your presets. Deeply sorry for the inconvenience.
Of course, you don't have to do this with any factory presets, just initialize after updating and those will be fine. Also, I would recommend getting the latest version of FactorLib from the PF support page.
I also recommend v3.5 for PF, it fixes a number of bugs from v3.0 and has MIDICLK enhancements.
