H9 Algorithms & Presets suddenly disappeared

  I got a H9 Max around 2 months ago and until now it worked perfectly, with all those amazing sounds.
  
  But yesterday I noticed that when I selected some algorithms & presets on the H9 Overview (H9 Control for OSX), that some of the algorithms & presets do not work anymore. Seems that the signal is just bypassed and no sounds are being generated.
  
  First I thought that it’s just a few presets affected, but there are plenty of stuff that I cannot use anymore. Made a factory reset (with hotknob & right switch), tried to download the missing algorithms, but problem still exits.
  
  – Chorus Bumps -> Type: Liquid
  
  – Q-Wah -> nothing works
  
  – ModFilter -> nothing works
  
  – Vibrato -> nothing works
  
  – Ring Mod -> nothing works
  
  – Pitch Flex -> nothing works
  
  – Harpeggiator: Menace, Intellivision & Lightemup -> none of those work
  
  – EQ Compressor -> nothing works
  
  – CrushStation -> nothing works
  
  How can I get back all these algorithms & presets back to work properly? I have not saved any presets and stuff yet, but I need all sounds to work again.

  You could try Restore Purchases in H9 Control.
  
  Are you using any MIDI?

  Using the H9 only (H9control disconnected), can you see all the presets and algorithms ?
  
  Are you using a mono or stereo signal in and out ?

  I already tried the restore purchases in H9 Control (“sync algorithms on H9 with server”)
  
  H9 is connected to a Mooer GE300, and that worked without any problems until yesterday.

  I have now isconnected the H9 from the Mac, tried it with only the pedal. Most of the algos/presets work, but all of those that I have already mentioned do not work. Tried with mono and stereo, still no sound from said presets & algorithms.

  Reason I asked … CC#0 is the default (as I recall) for Input Volume in the H9. And it appears that the Mooer GE300 uses that CC# for MIDI Bank Select; sending values of 0-1. Which would mean next to no volume in the H9, if that were being sent / received.

  with the GE300 I only use send/return loop, but no MIDI. The mentioned presets also do not work when I just use the H9 as a standalone pedal. Which is strange because it used to work without any problems a few days ago. And now I’m just wondering how I could fix it.

  Have you tried reinstalling the latest firmware using the Direct Updater? You should also do a full factory reset after that (powering up with black encoder and right footswitch pressed and held)

  could not install FW via Direct Updater since H9 already has 5.8.5(1) installed. So I did six complete full factory resets and now it seems to work again. At least the listed presets act like normal. Hopefully it will remain like that.
