      Hi.

I have a Mixing link set up on a pedadlboard using it with a clip on mic to run through some pedals and usually using DI or line out to a PA.

But there seemes to be a lot of hiss coming through the DI out.  If I have the dip at DI an connect to a mixing board via XLR to a Mic level channel I get a lot of hiss sound.

And it dosen’t matter if anything is connected or not, all gains to zero and the input knob at -20db , this seemes to be a general hiss on the output.

This is a fairly new unit, about a year old and has always been sitting on my pedalboard, in a case.

Is this an issue you are aware of, are there faulty units around ?   This is unusable like that.

      the serial nr. is MX-03603

Me too. Have you found a solution?Just got a Brand new mixing link today. There is a lot of hiss. I’m just testing. Sm58, I disconnected the effects so just the microphone to the unit off to a DL32/M32c. gain on mixing link off. (doesn’t matter though, doesn’t get louder or lower with any knob or button on the mixing link just a lot of hiss. when plugged in. I plug the mic directly into the DL32/M32 completely quiet. I really need this unit so we can do a specific effect B4 the m32 as that is just our IEM and then it goes to a split to FOH, so the effect has to be b4 everything. But now it looks like I’ll have to use a separate input, and mic for this one part in one song as I can’t have this hiss on the lead vox the whole night. What a Pain. Does anyone know if the radial Voco-Loco has hiss?

I too am having excessive hiss issues with the mixing link. Using a DPA mic to XLR mic input with phantom, DI/Line out to the desk with LINE selected on the bottom of the box there is this incessant excessive hiss/noise. I have tried every imaginable permutation of gain adjustment/different lead/pad settings on the desk etc and still the same. Even worse, when the FX loop switch is toggled to on it doubles the hiss/noise whether or not anything is connected to it! Can anyone please help me? I have been tolerating this for months but really need to make this a useable device which at the moment it just isn’t. I really hope I am doing something wrong, please advise.

      FYI:

Settings: Input Gain LOW (and dial on zero)

      DI/LINE: LINE

      GND/Lift: GND

One interesting (but worrying) note: if I set the mix selector switch to MIX and engage the FX LOOP button to ON and I touch the metal mix selector switch there is a really loud hum, the kind you get with a bad earth. Could this simply be a faulty box?!

      Thanks
