Just curious – Were there any differences in the converters between the various H3000 incarnations? I have an SE and D/SE that both sound amazing, but slightly different. One is not “better” than the other, but the SE feels a little more gritty. Is this just because they have aged differently over the decades (the SE was road-gear, the D/SE was studio only), or is there a difference in the hardware?
Oh, the SE has the sampling board installed which the D/SE does not, but I don’t believe this comes into play except on those patches that call on it(?)
Thanks for any insights!
