I know you can set MIDI Clock to DAW via Emote hosted in the DAW. Does MIDI Note and Controller data also get received by the H9000 via Emote?
The H9000 only receives MIDI notes via MIDI DIN, USB-B, or USB-A
These algorithms make use of MIDI note data: https://cdn.eventideaudio.com/manuals/h9000/2.0/content/appendix/algorithms/24_MIDI_Keyboard.html
I expanded one of them a while ago: https://github.com/jbaylies/sousastep-h9000-presets/blob/main/custom%20algorithms/Midi%20Harmony%208.sig2
If you use a DAW to map MIDI CC to the Emote plugin’s Functions, the Function data will be sent from Emote to the H9000 via the Local Area Network.
If you use Emote to map MIDI CC to Functions within Emote, that MIDI CC data can be received via MIDI DIN, USB-B, or USB-A.
OK, thanks for the clarification. It would be great and simplify things if that MIDI data could be passed from the host to Emote, and then via the Local Area Network, so consider this a feature request ;), but I’ll work with what we’ve got.
