      I just bought a Modfactor and a Timefactor. They both have 100 factory presets as advertised but I wanted to make sure about the number of user presets for each. I’ve read that the Timefactor has 20 user presets and the Modfactor has 40 user presets. But I read some posts online in other gear forums that suggested that the numbers had increased. Do the pedals still have the same number of user presets as advertised or have updates changed those numbers?

      Hello Kent56,

      All Factor series pedals have 100 presets spread across 50 banks. To ensure you have everything make sure you’re on the latest firmware. The pedals can be connected to the H9 Control app via USB on a computer and a camera to usb adapter for a tablet. This way, you can not only check for updates but also find even more factory and artists presets that aren’t on the pedals. You’ll also be able to create your own preset lists, backup your pedal, and share presets/lists.

      How many user presets can you have in those 50 banks at one time? I read that you could have 40 user presets for the Modfactor and 20 for the Timefactor but I believe that was when they were originally introduced. Is that still the case or have updates increased the number of user presets for those pedals?

      You can overwrite all the presets on those pedals and make them your own. A good strategy is to back up the factory lists using H9 Control so if you ever need to recover any of them you can just overwrite your user preset with the factory one. But technically, all 100 presets are user-customizable.

      That’s great! I’ve been using the H9 Control app and so I will backup the factory preset lists on it.
      It’s great that there’s this much flexibility with these pedals and the quality of the effects is amazing. Thanks!
