LED luminosity is certainly controlled by a numerical variable which contain the value of duty cycle in software.

it is a request to have a very lower setting in the System menu -> preferences -> LED bright:

– or, better, the quick knob (: the rotation of the knob) could permit to adjust the value of the intensity of light at any value between very-min / max.
