when the first, unofficial, H90 Control came out, it worked. now trying to update to the “official” version and my ipad doesn’t see the H90. the circle keeps going around and around, searching for “other devices” but nothing comes up. what gives?

OP here. some more details
i had to manually turn the bluetooth back on on the h90, but then, on my ipad, as soon as i tap on my device where it says “not connected”, the bluetooth light goes out on my h90 and remain w/out a connection.
i also clicked “forget this device” on the ipad in hopes of resetting it, to no avail. ipad says, “connect an h90 then click add device”, but when i do that, nothing happens no matter what i tap.

I’m sorry to see you’re having trouble.
Have you already contacted our support team at support@eventide.com? Now that you’ve done the basic troubleshooting, they will be the best way to get further help.
One thing you may need to do is forget the connection on *both* the H90 and the iPad, then attempt to establish a connection from fresh.

how do i get the H90 to forget the connection? if it’s just a matter of turning bluetooth off on the H90, it’s already doing that on its own as noted above. thanks

Just to save you a little time, i’ve got them communicating. Your suggestion of having the h90 forget the ipad, as well as the other way around (which was all i’d tried up to that point), was the fix. thanks!

Glad to hear you got it working. For anyone else experiencing similar issues, the manual includes details and connection tips for all devices: https://cdn.eventideaudio.com/manuals/h90/1.7.5/content/system-menu/bluetooth.html#content-system-menu-bluetooth–page-root

Same problem, but having both devices forget each other didn’t work for me. I’ve also tried factory resetting the H90, which didn’t work; and then updating the H90 firmware again, which didn’t work either. It works on the Mac, so I can only conclude that there is a bug in the latest update, as the previous update with “unofficial” Bluetooth worked for me.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Have you tried “forget” on the H90 since connecting to the Mac? It may be that the Mac bluetooth is interfering with the iPad connection. Please try the following:
- Turn off Bluetooth on your Mac
- Select “forget” on H90
- Go into your iPad settings to delete the H90 Bluetooth device
- Follow the instructions to pair/connect with your iPad: https://cdn.eventideaudio.com/manuals/h90/1.7.5/content/system-menu/bluetooth.html#ipad-connection
Let me know what happens.

still can’t pair my iPad to H90 . I’ve forgotten both on h90 and iPad . the iPad will find the h90 , but when I connect the right blue light comes on for a second and bluetooth turns off on h90 ?
I did get it to pair before I just did a factory reset.

Hello,
This could be a few things:
- Did you pair the H90 with another device (Mac/iPhone/different iPad)? You will need to forget the H90 from any of these devices, or they will “steal” the connection when attempting to pair.
- Do you have any other Bluetooth devices like a WIDI dongle? Those may also “steal” the connection when attempting to pair.
- Are you absolutely sure you’ve forgotten on both the H90 and the iPad? Does anything show up in your iPad Bluetooth settings?
If you’re still having issues, please email support@eventideaudio.com with a video that displays the pairing issue and we can help you further there.
