      Windows 10

It gets the (TF) in the title bar and refuses to reinstall my presets.

Direct Updater and Device Manager recognize the pedal as a ModFactor. It’s only FactorLib that is confused.

If I downgrade to 3.5.0[4] then it’s okay.

      What can I do?

      I’m sorry you’re having trouble.

The FactorLib Preset Librarian is no longer supported. After installing a v5 software release on your TimeFactor pedal, you can now use H9 Control instead to manage your presets and preset lists.  To upgrade your TimeFactor to a v5 release, please download, install and open H9 Control with your TimeFactor connected, and it will guide you through the upgrade process.  If you had saved presets earlier using FactorLib, H9 Control can import these FactorLib preset files so that they can be used inside H9 Control. To import a FactorLib preset list into H9 Control, just drag and drop the syx file onto H9 Control. Your imported presets will be accessible both as individual presets under H9 Control’s Preset section and as a preset list under H9 Control’s Preset List section.

      Hope that helps.

Ah. Okay. Strange that this did not happen to my Pitchfactor, just the ModFactor. I used FactorLib to reinstall my PitchFactor presets with no issues after the v5 install. I’ll try again in a bit.

BTW, aside from H9 Control, what else does the v5 software bring to the Factor pedals? I have PF, MF, and TF (though the latter is not currently in use and I’m not updating it yet).

Issues may vary from device to device, but in general FactorLib is no longer supported on v5 firmware.

I suppose it depends on what software version you’re coming from, but the v5 Factor pedal firmware updates added:

      – Support For H9 Control

      – Pre/post and Dry/Wet routing modes

      – Input/Output swell

      – Improved remote control and MIDI routing functionality

      – Some other various bug fixes and performance improvements.

The v5.2 software was released many years ago, so there may be other things I missed.
