i’ve just gone head first into the wall to try solve this very problem on my setup…
was never able to connect via BT, only USB (and it ain’t always possible).
[FYR: MacBook Pro 16-inch 2021 | M1 Pro | macOS 14.5 Sonoma | latest safety features | H90 Software 1.8.6.72 | H90 Control 1.7.11].
thought someone might appreciate one further hint here, if it helps them to find their way around.
i for myself, too, had tried all that was noted here, to no avail: there simply was no H90(serial number) to “forget” in my System Settings’ Bluetooth panel.
i realized there’s no longer a GUI switch in Sonoma to wipe the BT manifest clean, in order to force it start to court for pairing.
i’ve launched a Terminal instance, into which i typed: sudo pkill bluetoothd
if your user has admin privileges, it simply takes your pwd, enter.
all other devices that were there before won’t fade away – so no fear, no sweat, it takes less than 1 minute in total.
a few seconds later, H90 was showing up among all my other Bluetooth devices.
which is when, finally, passkey request popped up my screen.
then (and only then) the process of adding it within H90 Control via BT worked.
now both LEDs are solid blue… and i can stash the USB cable into the drawer, until next firmware update.
note: in this respect, being able to update my H9’s firmware over Bluetooth is so much more comfortable…
hope it’ll get to work on H90, too – and soon, maybe!
