Hello skywriter,
from another thread i understand there is no Init Patch I can make a new Program from.
Although it is not necessary to use an INIT Program type to create your own program, they do exist. From factory, the H90 ships with four user lists and three of them are filled with INIT Programs (blank programs). To find them on the pedal, go into the System Setting by simultaneously pressing PROGRAMS & ROUTING for two seconds. Choose Global > Playlist > set it to User 2 (or 3,4). If you’re using H90 Control, connect to your pedal and in the Edit menu, on the very top left, set the Playlist to User 2 in the drop down menu. You’ll see it’s entirely made up of INIT Programs.
q: how to change an algorithm within an existing program.
If you want to change an individual algorithm for a preset of a Program, on the pedal, press the PRESETS button. Consecutive presses of the PRESETS button will highlight the other preset. Once you’ve highlighted the preset you want to change, you can narrow your search down by the effect type (quick knob 2) or algorithm (quick knob 3) you want. Once you’ve made your choice, turn the SELECT knob to browse presets for the effect/algorithm you’ve chosen. Here’s a video explaining how to do this: https://youtu.be/5y14LwN9oAk?feature=shared&t=2510
On H90 Control, once you’ve chosen a program in the Edit menu, click on the Preset Library tab on the bottom right of the screen. Now, you’ll be able to click on A or B up top. Using the filters on the right side of the screen you can narrow it down to the type of sounds you’re looking for. Click on the preset name will load it into the selected preset slot.
