When loading an algorithm via a scene into a signal chain currently in use (for example, swapping out a Thru for a Gobi Reverb), there is a brief silence (good), then the new effect starts to output (good), then there is a pop (bad). I’ve attached a recording demonstrating this. Curious if this pop is a bug that could be fixed or it’s something intrinsic that must be there.

Can you be more specific with which algorithm/preset is being loaded? Is it “2013 GobiGuitar” or something else?

I’ve tried it with Large Room2, GobiGuitar, DesertPercussion1, Instant Phaser MkII SpaceTime and Thru. All of them make the same pop. I also just tried replacing the algorithms using the normal drag and drop method instead of scenes, same pop. The key is that there needs to be signal flowing when the replacement happens since the volume of the pop is proportional to the volume of the signal.

Thanks for the additional information. We are implementing an improved mute/fade when algorithms are loaded in the next firmware update, so the issue will be resolved then.

Excellent! Glad to hear it’s already being worked on. Super excited about the next update
