This is for people who are using a small pedalboard and no MIDI. A project I’ve just started, as part of downsizing a big board into a smaller one, but keeping the H90 on it!
Currently:
Bank Mode lets me set up the banks to equate to three sections of a song. Using Bank One as an example, program 1 might be the “verse”, program 2 the “chorus” and program 3 the “solo”. All good. Then, song 2 is stored in Bank Two. The “verse” program might require the same sounds as for song 1, in Bank One. Currently, you’d need to copy program 1 into the slot for program 4 to make it possible to load it when you’re in Bank Two playing song 2. Which works.
Perceived problem:
But… what if you used that program in several songs. You’d need to keep your program locations in sync and know which ones to copy into again when you change program 1 – perhaps at a venue because the wet mix is too intense for the room.
Enhancement Request:
Add a feature that allows program locations to contain “aliases” or pointers to another program location. For example, I might set up program 1 as my default “verse” sound. I’d like to be able to set up program 4 and program 10 so it doesn’t use the contents of program 4 when I select it, but loads program 1.
There is a similar function in Boss GT1000 products, called “stompboxes”. I found that very useful when I was a GTk user.
The benefit to H90 users:
We could now adjust program 1 at the venue and save it. Then all references back to it from other program locations would use the latest version.
