Can somebody help me sync my Timefactor to my Disaster Area micro.CLOCK gen3?

1/4” TRS cable to AUX switch? Then what? I’ve tried every option I can think of. Been through the manual a dozen times. I’m running the latest firmware.

The CLK IN setting is blinking which means it isn’t getting the .CLOCK messages right?

        Thanks in advance.

You will need to configure the aux switch input to be mapped to tap tempo, see page 47 of the user manual here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/com.eventide.downloads/Product+Manuals/TimeFactorManual.pdf

You should also turn Tempo Mode on, see page 39. Once you have this setup correctly, you should see the pedal UI update when you get tap tempo messages from the micro clock.

Thank you for responding. I’m just stupid when it comes to these things.

My Tempo is on. I can access the Aux SW. but every combination of different options I tried seems to not change anything. I hate to say, can you break it down step by step…but really I’m that dumb when it comes this stuff.

Update. Spent about an hour with my TimeFactor and micro.Clock this morning. I feel like the adjustments I’m making aren’t doing anything. I go Auxiliary Switch and select TAP < T+R and all I get wheen I push the micro.Clock is the Bypass Active which is the first selection in the menu. Go back to Tap < T+R and try to configure different options. Same problem. Pressing the middle foot switch once selected to bring me back to the main menu.

At this point I don’t know if the problem is with the clock or the the TImefactor. I just want to eliminate one of the two so I can focus on just one.

Sorry to hear you are still having issues.

I would suggest unmapping the default mappings first. It sounds like your micro.Clock is triggering the bypass, when you only want it to trigger the tap tempo.

From the aux menu, the first option should show “BYP < TIP”.  Press the right footswitch so it now shows “BYP > TIP”. Turn the encoder left, to unmap the Tip from the Bypass command. Then press the encoder again.

Once you have unmapped all the aux switch mappings, select Tap. Press the right footswitch untill you see LEARN. Once that is displayed, press the footswitch on the micro.Clock and the Time Factor will learn this command for tap tempo.

That is everything you need to do to map tap tempo to the aux switch. Let me know how it goes.

That did it! I needed to unmap first. Thank you for sticking with me. All SYNCed up and ready to go!

                    Thank you!

Great! Glad to hear that worked. Thanks for your patience working through this.
