There is a possibility the unit has had some "rough moments" in the shipment. You should try checking/re_seating socketed components.
Power off the unit. Unplug the power cord. Let it there for a couple of hours.
Open the top cover (screws) and look for all square chips that are on a socket. Try gently pushing them down, particularly U106, this is the large square chip near the red and green leds at the front of the motherboard.
