Thanks for the kind words – sadly not everyone agrees.
You can use either a USB to USB cable plugging into the USB socket on the 'Factor, or (as you are doing) a USB to MIDI adaptor. These will need different settings on the MIDI config page.
But, you've got it working, so that's what counts.
