8.0 Option for Blackhole/MicroPitch Immersive Audio

  Would it be possible to have an 8.0 option for the Immersive audio plugins. I work at a University Music department and we do a lot of 8.0 channel work, I know a number of others do too. Many thanks.S

  Have you thought about using ambisonics as an intermediary?

  For me personally it would add too much over head as I am using it live in a Max Patch. But also too confusing for students new to the subject area especially as they learn 8channel before jumping into Ambisonics.
  
  I am intrigued how that would work? I dont see any ambisonic configurations in Blackhole Immersive, 3rd order is 16 channels, how would that get me an 8.0 output from an 8.0 input?

  It’s a lot of hassle with ambisonic encoders and decoders.Having proper (matching!!) Atmos settings in both. And in the end an ambisonics decoder to 8.0.
  A many layered process. I do these kind of things in Reaper.
  Indeed not recommended for newcomers to the multichannel world.
  But anyway, I would welcome an octophonic setup as well! 😀

  Yes we use Reaper too. Hopefully 8ch can easily be added.
