ParticipantAll,
You might be double checking to see if this is a 2024 post, it is.
I recently acquired a license for Anthology II for my Pro Tools MIX TDM Rig (5.1 and 6.4.1). I have found a working installer for OSX 10.3, but nothing for Mac OS9, even though the official website says partial support for Mac OS9 on this release. The download here on the archive is the Pro Tools 7 Universal Binary which only seems to work for PT7.
Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated, would get me pretty much to the finish line on commissioning this fully maxed out Pro Tools TDM MIX rig.
Thanks
Architecture.

ParticipantFixed it by modifying the PT6 installer using FileType utility, officially installed now.

It looks like you’re almost there! Anthology II’s partial support for Mac OS9 might be tricky, especially with such an older setup. I’d recommend checking out some vintage Pro Tools forums or gear resale groups where old installers or users with similar setups might be able to help. You could also try contacting Eventide support directly—they may have legacy installers tucked away. Best of luck in getting your Pro Tools TDM MIX rig fully up and running!

ParticipantI’ve checked all of the wayback machine files I can find, all the PT5/6 files have the same created/modified date unless there is one from an earlier date than March 14, 2006.
All the MIX supported plugins do work except H3000 Factory.
The issue presents itself on both OS9 and OSX 10.3.7 running Pro Tools MIX TDM. I would have ruled it an OS9 issue until it manifested the same way on OSX. Believe the solution was an NFR ilok asset that allowed for running an older H3000 plugin (possibly the one from the Massivepack or Anthology 1.0). Everything is working on PTHD 8 on my HD rig but would like to have it working on the MIX system on either OS9 or OSX since it was supported there.

It sounds like you’ve done extensive troubleshooting on the PT5/6 files and MIX system. The NFR iLok asset workaround makes sense, especially if it was tied to an earlier plugin version like MassivePack or Anthology 1.0. If everything runs fine on PTHD 8, then it’s likely an asset compatibility issue on MIX. Hopefully, you find a solution soon—just like strategizing in nur Brawl Stars, persistence is key!

ParticipantThe Anthology II Installer for Mac OS9 (PT 5.1 Mix) may be hard to find due to its age. You might need to check older software archives or reach out to specialized communities for legacy audio software.

ParticipantI was able to locate it the PT5/6 combo installer via waybackmachine. The very first revision original has yet to be located, but in my research this issue started with the Anthology II update anyways. I believe it does work in OS9 if you have a Pro Tools HD Core/Process card combo (I have loads of Accel cards and no Process cards in all my chassis).
My solution wound up building a Mac G5 – Pro Tools HD Combo with a 64 Bit PCI-X Expansion Chassis. Anthology II working great on Pro Tools 6-8. I may at some point test my theory about Pro Tools 5.3.1 HD and OS9.
