Hi guys,
my good old PCMCIA card has crashed, and it was impossible to restore it. That's bad news, since many of the patches there were custom built.
For the others, I tried to contact Italo over Facebook, but no response yet. Is there anybody out there who has a collection of presets from the Yahoo group ? I know that some user stuff is avail here at the Eventide database, but that's just some few of them.
The preset I really miss the most is "Blue Hotel". Anyone ?

Hi Mattias,
Unfortunately I dont have any of those presets and have no idea where to find them, but I am sure there must be some type of recovery software out there that can recover the data from your PCMCIA card. Have you tried accessing it from another PC other than your normal one. Sorry I cant help more, but I am sure there must be a way to recover the data from the card. And hopefully someone else here has the presets and can post them . Best of luck with that and cheers for now,
Tim

Hi Matthias,
I just had a look again at eventide yahoo groups and even though it says no longer accepting new members to the eventide group but I was able to just sign in by adding it to my yahoo groups account and now I have access to the files area. I looked for the Blue Hotel preset and found it in the Orville Reverbs section, but havent had time to try this out in vsig yet.
Here is a link just in case, but you will probably have to sign up for a yahoo groups account first in case you dont have one anymore, and then add yourself to the eventide group list..
Let me know if you have trouble with that, and if so maybe I can try to download all the presets to a zip file and send it to you
Cheers

Hi Tim,
thank you so much for your support ! This is great, and funny to see that this group still exists after almost 10 years.
Very best greetings,
Matthias

Hi Matthias,
Glad I could be of help. And actually you helped me too as by trying to help you I was able to finally find out how to access the files on the eventide yahoo site. And I was even more pleasantly surprised to see that all the files I have tried so far have worked when sending them via Visg to the H8000FW. So far have tried about 20 of the files from the Orville section, and will try the others when I have some more time. Will also try the ones from other eventide models.
Also it was your mp3 demo that I heard about 5-6 years ago that helped make my decision to buy an H8000FW so thanks for that. And if you ever make some new presets I am sure there would be many here who would love to hear or try them out 🙂
All the best

Hope you never regretted the purchase 🙂 Yeah, probably not.
I had no time to do any VSIG programming in the last years, and for a usual daily production environment there is already everything in the box.
But who knows what comes next 🙂
