Hey there!
I finally got my H90 and love the algorithms in it. I was wondering if it’s possible to make my guitar sound like a horn section using the H90. Kinda like what the EHX Mel9 can do. Is this possible? If so, how? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -

Brass-type sounds? PolySynth. Perhaps enhanced with a tasteful delay, reverb (even RingMod) in series.
Larger brass sections? Two PolySynths in parallel, slightly offset parameters. Or PolySynth in series with Polyphony.

Thank you Brock. I’ll give it a try

That was the quick ‘n’ dirty reply. Let me know if you need me to add anything more specific. PolySynth is a deep algorithm, brilliantly implemented, though.
Lots of control parameters, but manageable if you have any background with synths. The best tactic is to get an overall general sound that’s fairly close to what you’re after. Then start detailing it with the interactive parameters.
To put it another way:
- Single sawtooth (for brass) – level 2 & 3 down.
- Cutoff up – resonance low. Slightly slowed-down Attack.
- Then start folding in the two Env controls to taste.
- At this point, bring up the other two oscillator levels – sawtooth, maybe Pulse.
- Then start adding in the bells ‘n’ whistles – modulation, detune, spread.
- With the LFO, a little amount goes a long way. PWM for an ensemble effect.
- If you have an expression pedal (or use the HotSwitches), great way to add varations & animation to your effect.

I just thought of something: a Program I uploaded a year back. It was more of a synth brass emulation, but maybe it can give you a baseline to tweak to taste.

The PolyFlex half is specific to the GR300 sounds I was after, so that Preset would be optional (and replaceable) in your case.
