Can you control TimeFactor from ModFactor or Vice Versa?

I read this in the TimeFactor FAQ:

Can you control TimeFactor from ModFactor or Vice Versa?

"Yes. If you connect the two pedals together via MIDI, you can use the footswitches from one pedal to change patches on the other, and you can use the knobs on one pedal to change values on the other."

Is it possible to connect the expression pedal let's say to the Timefactor and control the Modfactor with it as well? Or do I have to use two expression pedals?
Of course I would connect the two pedals together via MIDI.

 You could actually just connect one pedal to both units with a Y-cord.

The pedal input is protected enough that this won't damage the units. 

There is a slight risk of ground loops, but if the units are going to be connected together anyhow this should not be an issue. 

 Note – I have not tried this …
