Can’t get shimmer correct…..SPACE Pedal

I need the With or Without You – U2 effect. I have been messin' with the SPACE and the decay gets "sour" when I move from note to note. Any body got any pointers, maybe another pedal?

I set the pitches to 1200(octave) and the FxMix(pitch-decay) is either up and I can hear the shimmer and then I get "sour-wash", or I turn it down and the shimmer is not noticeable with less "sour".

I would try a few things to get this sound:

1. Use more delay, maybe about 150 ms or more. 

2. Turn the Mids down below 50, put low around 75, and put highs around 90 (of course you'll have to experiment, but I'm just ballparking). 

3.  You NEED detuning to get this sound, so try something like PitchA: 1203-1209 and PitchB: 1194-1197

4.  Make sure size is large (>80) and set decay around 90-95 (perhaps less).

THANKS! That really helped. The problem I was having was with the Mids. Once I turned them down it sounded great. The detuning also imporved the sound. I guess I won't need an AMS S-DMX after all. 

By the way, I love the pedal……I have been dialing in some GREAT sounds.
