CC from Max to Emote

I’m not getting the H9000R to recognize cc messages from Max. Does anybody have experience with formating outgoing cc messages in Max so that Emote can interpret them? It is very straightforward going from my keyboard controller with faders to the H9k, getting parameters highlighted in green and seeing the correct cc numbers. However, when trying the same from Max I can’t figure out how to format the messages. Somehow the H9k always sees them as note ons. Status byte issue? Anybody tried this?

It’s been a while since I’ve programmed in Max, but from looking over an old program I made, make sure that you pak controller number and then the controller value and send that to the third input port of a midiformat.  I suspect you are wired into the first port of midiformat.

Wire your midiout to the first output of midiformat
