As developers, we like open frameworks, and it seems like CLAP has some nice features. For us, it’s a question of whether (or when) there is a sufficient market for CLAP plugins, and how much effort it takes to add and maintain support for them to our existing codebase. We use the JUCE framework for our plugins, so having CLAP support included in the main branch of JUCE would certainly help. The short answer is not in the immediate future, but we certainly haven’t ruled it out either.
