My DSP4000 since last week started showing Problem In Internal Ram bad checksum at the startup. if I press <continue>, it works normal. This bugs me a little, so what can you suggest?
I believe this is caused by simply an intermittent error, or a bad battery backed memory chip, or hardware fault. My understanding is you can do a re-init to clear the error (hold 8 at startup) and see if that helps or next replace the battery-backed memory (should be in socket). Try to match the P/N, it should be something like BQ4013YMA-120.
I had this same problem a few weeks ago and it was easy to fix with the part number BQ4013YMA-120 referenced above. Cost $14 or so, Easy to install, just be mindful of the pins and alignment.
