Envfollow module

Has anyone used the Envfollow or know any factory programs that it is used in?  I’m trying to build an algorithm with it, but I can’t seem to get it to work at all. After an example that I can examine to understand the block.

I think you are referring to the envdetect module, right?  This is not used in any of the algorithms on the H9000.  I passed your question to the DSP folks who are the experts in such matters.

I posted a crash scenario in mattermost with this block. It took out the H9000, Emote and Ableton.

Can you explain what you’re trying to accomplish with envdetect? We might be able to point you in the right direction with a bit of context for what you’re trying to do.

The quadrature and quadrat2 objects may also be of use to you.

I was trying to use envdetect to create envelope followers in a vocoder.

Essentially to track the level.of a frequency band of an input signal and then use that to control the gain of a filter on a second input signal. This didn’t work as expected.

During testing to try to determine what the envdetect was outputting I managed to crash everything badly. I provided a vsig file that causes crashes on matter most.

If there is a working algorithm using envdetect, I’d be keen to check it out.
