Equivocate Match Function – How Often Does it Update?

Hi,

I have a question about Equivocate’s Match function.

Say I’d like to used Equivocate on my mix bus and have it match a pink noise source as I mix. During playback, how often (and when) does Equivocate update its parameters?

What I’m interested in is whether the process is “static” i.e. the EQ curve, once established, is more-or-less fixed, or whether the EQ curve is dynamic and updates as the input progresses (e.g. if a quiet verse changes to a loud chorus)?

The match EQ is meant to be static, not dynamic.  It does update the sliders as it learns on the fly, but it's integrating all the information it sees while MATCH EQ is on, and takes an average, so if you let it match for long enough you should see the sliders stop updating.

P.S. If you want to match Chorus and Verse separately, you can of course do this with two instances and automation.
