getting and dumping current preset via sysex

Hi there,

After trying (a lot) to use vsigfile on a G4 (Virtual PC, XP, Vsigfile, working COM port with Keyspan adapter…), and to use VsigX (doesn't work well with H8000FW V5.3), I want to talk try and just get the sig files via sysex.

In the tech note #94, I read "<H4000> is 0x70 (decimal 112). " What is the code for H8000FW with software 5.3?

Anybody already set this kind of communication?

For instance, to get the current preset, should I send the following message?

F0

28 (eventide)

70 (H4000 – that one, I'd like to know what the H8000 is)

00 (id – 0 should work all the time)

09 (SYSEXC_SIGFILE_WANT)

H8000FW uses the same code in the interest of keeping it simple.

That must be why the code is also the same in the sysex documentation of the Factor pedals – just looks strange to see "H4000" in the doc.
