Getting that Space Echo Twist effect

Hi, 

is there a way to get the twist effect like the one with the Boss Space Echo when holding down its Tap Tempo Button? 

I’ve tried the Tape Echo algorithm and patching the expression pedal so the feedback goes up while the time goes down. It’s yields something similar but I get a lot of low end wop-wop-wop instead of the niceness of the “twist-effect”.

Maybe open the filter up to add some high end and bring the mix down slightly when making the feedback increase and time decrease. You might also try removing wow, flutter, and saturation. Or maybe you need to add saturation. Get it “twisting” and start tweaking those things though and see if anything helps.
