November 13, 2024 at 12:46 pm #186240Hello, Please follow the troubleshooting instructions at the following link and let me know what happens. https://s3.amazonaws.com/com.eventide.downloads/Product+Manuals/H9ControlManual.pdf Below are a couple of things to make sure that you have tried. - Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your H9. A blue LED in the upper right-hand corner of the H9’s display will be lit up if Bluetooth is turned on. Turn Bluetooth off and on again on the H9 to reset the state of the Bluetooth chip by pressing the X, Y, and Z buttons on the H9 simultaneously.
- Make sure you are using the Eventide power supply.
- Make sure have tried one of the two factory resets below:
Restoring Factory System Settings To restore System settings, power up the H9 while simultaneously pressing the Right Footswitch and the HOTKNOB button until [CLEAR] is displayed. Restoring Factory Presets and System Settings CAUTION: This function will overwrite any Presets that you have saved. To restore Factory Presets and all System settings, power up the H9 while simultaneously pressing the Right Footswitch and the big Knob until [INITIA] is displayed. Make sure you have completely powered off your device (iOS or computer) and then powered it back on again.
If using a mobile device, reset the network settings.

January 20, 2025 at 10:55 am #187828What would really be helpful,,, hear me out on this,,, is to FIX THE ISSUE! Not everyone wants to try “reset it to factory”… and lose all presets we’ve worked to put in place. I have never had so many issues with a pedal’s connectivity. You’d think for what these things cost, a simple Bluetooth connection would not be an insurmountable issue. See picture for error notification (my bluetooth shows it as connected, after entering PIN) What does this even mean? Attachments:You must be logged in to view attached files.

September 30, 2025 at 9:34 pm #192343I just bought an H9. The Bluetooth connection is totally unreliable. I am going to try a direct connection and if that doesn’t work I’ll sell the thing. -
September 30, 2025 at 10:29 pm #192344I got it to work with Windows 10. Used a 12 ft USB extension cord and it worked.

October 3, 2025 at 6:12 pm #192415fwiw, i use an old ipad mini5 to connect FIVE H9’s in my setup with Bluetooth. sometimes one will drop out like PBark’s PNG immediately after connect in the morning, but reconnecting often solves the problem the very first time. after that they all stay connected all day (16 hours every day – unless i’m on vacation) without issue. i often start playing right after i feed my ferrets, and it all works wonderfully.
