H90 Bouquet Delay super quiet.

Am I missing something with this delay? Im feeding it some 808 style hats at a decent level and there is hardly any audible level to the effect. Other programs are working fine but this effect presets are almost silent even with the mix turned over 50%.

BBD chips tend to have a LOT of high end rolled off, to filter out the HF clocking noise of the BBDs, it’s inherent in the design. If you’re feeding it something with mainly high frequency content (like a hi hat), it’s not surprising you won’t hear much effect. Shorter delay times tend to have more high frequwncies with BBDs, so you may get away with that. If not I’d suggest a basic full frequency delay like the Digital Delay, no high end roll off!

Or try the Modern – Delay Mode in Bouquet Delay.  Vintage Delay might be another compromise option.

Good info to know. Ive not had it long and I was preset browsing by type. Was wondering why it was so quiet. I’ll try it on different sounds.
