I’ve used the H9 for some years, and always found its distortion algorithms lacking compared to my other pedals. Just got the H90, and they seem sooo much better.

So far I’ve only played with it in my home studio, and sometimes things that work there don’t on stage. Wondering if anyone here is using the H90 as their main overdrive/distortion device? I’d be grateful for yes/no answers and opinions as to why or why not.

I’m a fan of them as well. I use my H90 in conjunction with a Quad Cortex and two external drive pedals but sometimes I’ll use the Weedwacker to thicken up my clean tone if I need just a bit of hair on it. I am still experimenting with the H90 as I just got it about a week ago but so far I’m very impressed with the distortion algorithms

Yeah, Weedwacker is pretty interesting. I’m setting up some basic low/medum/high gain tones before getting into more exotic effects. Weedwacker seems super-flexible for all levels of overdrive and distortion, using the Stage 2 drive. The Slasher and Tight Drive presets are higher-gain variations. The Pitchfuzz/Muscle preset goes even further, although it can get pretty noisy, but the gate works well. I’ll try it on a gig once I get a more complete set of presets.

The other thing I’m finding amazingly-cool is assigning individual parameter ranges to an expression pedal. So easy to do using the app (although I can’t imagine doing this on the H90 box itself). The H9 was great for this, but the H90 seems more intuitive.

I’m just getting started so other suggestions would be more than welcome.
