      Hi.

I’m hoping to get more information if this is possible with the H90. Basically I want to double the output sends.
I’m using a stereo input to 1 & 2, and the output 1 & 2 goes to another stereo pedal. But I’d like to also duplicate inputs 1 & 2 to outputs 3&4 so it be sent to another pedal. It seems logical, but can’t figure out if possible.

      thanks

Actually, no, I can’t get it to work. Trying different routing configurations in the settings I can get Inputs 1 and 2 can either go to output 1 and 2, or 3 and 4 but I can’t seem to get stereo to to 1 and plus 3 and 4 simultaneously. At the moment I’m using a splitter box. 🙏🏽

Yes, this is possible. Enable a stereo insert and place it at the very end of the chain if you would like a duplicate of the output signal with all of the H90’s FX processing. Set the Insert Mix to 50% and you should be all set, the same signal will be sent to outputs 1-2 and 3-4.

Thanks for the tip. I hadn’t tried adjusting the mix from 100% to 50%, so that works to send the signal from inputs 1&2 to both outputs 1&2 and 3&4. That did the job, but not quite perfectly. There is a noticeable fraction of audio latency between the outputs 1&2 and 3&4 which creates a sort of chorus / phaser sound. I tested it directly with a mixer, so I know it’s not happening downstream. There must be some latency created during the H90 routing process. If that’s the case, I might need to rely on a hardware stereo splitter box.

That is correct, a small amount of latency will be introduced from the insert routing. Specifics can be seen here: https://cdn.eventideaudio.com/manuals/h90/1.8.6/content/appendix/specifications.html

Sorry if this does not work for your setup.

What, inserts add latency? So, if I have an external reverb pedal (set to kill-dry) in a stereo insert (set to 50% mix) at the end of the chain it adds 3.8ms to my dry signal within the H90? I can understand that reasoning if using the inserts for insert effects (where you might mix the dry signal to an overdriven wet signal) but not for send effects (where you only add the fully wet delay/reverb tail to the dry signal). Can we therefore please make the added latency switchable?

… Specifics can be seen here …

I’ve seen those same figures presented online a number of times, but I never noticed them documented in the manual before now.  That attention to detail & level of transparency is pretty cool of Eventide.
