I came across this in another context, I think it was in Harmadillo. But I noticed that HeadSpace head positions are in time divisions with +/- percentage chioces. This is a cool feature but it’s a bit clumsy, and adjusting the parameter with a hot knob / controller / MIDI CC doesn’t exactly run smoothly.
I think a more general solution for tempo-synced time divisions would be awesome, where you specify the parameter as time division and +/- 50% or something like that, then when you assign the parameter to a control, it converts under the covers to… a floating point value? Or number of samples? And interpolates between the two absoluate values linearly.
Speaking of which, non-linear control curves (like quadratic and exponential) would be sick — especially for frequency parameters, which don’t lend themselves to linear interpolation all that well.
