Is there a technical reason why only inputs 1-8 have level sliders for an FX chain? Would be great if you could adjust 16 or ideally the full 32.

Hi gustebeast,
If you’re referring to the view in Emote for FX Chain I/O we have documented this request and hope to add visibility in a future update. Otherwise, if you’re using the H9000, the Meters view is customizable from the front panel.

Does the front panel view allow changing input gain for inputs other than 1-8? I’m currently away from home so I can’t check myself.
By “add visibility” I presume you mean that the control exists but just can’t be set via emote.

Yes, by pressing the METERS button on the top left of the H9000 you get direct access to the meters view. Using the ASSIGN soft button and arrows, you can customize each meter to reflect either the hardware I/O or the FX Chain I/O.

Perfect, and I presume they can be mapped to MIDI input?

Yes. Press the METERS button > MORE METERS soft key > LEVELS soft key > CONTROL MAP soft key > and you can press QUICK MAP to do a quick MIDI Learn or press CUSTOM MAP for more specific assignments.

Probably a wish-list item but it would be great if there was a way to mute individual inputs. I’m currently doing this with Jason’s 8 channel mixer algorithm, but if it was at the FX chain level I could get an extra algorithm slot. Here’s what it could look like in Emote:
