Has Eventide considered developing an expansion slot for the H9000 which would add 4 or 5 instrument level inputs? It could use combined XLR/TRS/TS ports and support balanced or unbalanced signals. It would then have a preamp module to amplify the signals to line level. Ideally it would also have EQ like other preamps, although this could also be done via an algorithm in the main effects processing (just would take up one of your 4 algos).

A card like this would allow me to avoid carrying around an extra pre-amp to gigs, and allow me to plug in more instruments at home without requiring a fancier multiple in/out preamp (my current one is just 1/1).

          +1 for this! GREAT idea.

I’m typing this at a gig where I have my H9000 which in this instance I’m just using as an interface (overkill I know), and have had to rack it with an 8 preamp expansion via ADAT, which is fine, but a card would be incredible. If I could add a headphone output to the request list, that would be even better! It’s a real faff having to bring those extra bits to a gig, and I’d LOVE to just show up with the H9000, some mics and cables rather than all the other bits which are both bulky and easy to forget.

This has been asked for and Eventide expressed interest at the time.

I would much much and rather have a true granular delay feedback effect option 🙂

Hi Kims, I’ll be releasing a granular algorithms soon.

Based on feedback of that algorithm I’ll look at further granular options.  The H9000 has a number of tools available for approaching granular in different ways.

Ok what i was thinking of when saying granular delay feedback effect – it was like an expanded Lagrange vst 🙂

I’m not sure why I’d reproduce the existing VST, especially considering that it is available for free.

I can have a look at a multi headed feedback delay with processing on the feedback loop, but that would be closer to my dub delay algorithm that I’m currently upgrading. I’ll have a look to see how things sound with short delay times.

Thats why i wrote, an EXPANDED  🙂

Four quad core ARM processors could do a lot more 🙂
