H9S MIDI WITH BOSS ES8

Hi GUYS,

I succeeded has to put in memory the preset of h9 max (MIDI 1) in the boss ES8 via ” MIDI CANAL 1 ” (section patch).



But for the 2eme H9 CORE (MIDI CANAL 2), impossible to memorize preset of H9 CORE in the boss ES8, I am nevertheless to pass by CANAL MIDI 2, there is nothing which registers and on 99 presets of H9 core it is similar.



On the other hand when I pass by 2:9 am alone without mapping, without program, I can organize the 2:9 am via(including) XMT MAP in the regulations of H9.



Example: chorus (h9 9 core) +delay (h9 max), preset 1, it works but dice that I want to bring in them 2 H9S in programming on the boss ES8 there is that the MIDI CANAL 1 which follows h9 core ( midi2 ) is pasenregistré malgrès the credit note to go intoCANAL MIDI  2.

My guess is that you are French – if so, please ask the question in simple French (I studied at school), and we'll see what we can do.

Bonjour,

J’ai réussi a mettre en mémoire les preset du h9 max (midi 1 ) dans le boss ES8 en passant par “canal midi 1 ” (section patch).

 

Mais pour le 2eme H9 CORE (midi 2 ),impossible de mémoriser des preset du H9 CORE dans le boss ES8, je suis pourtant passer par canal midi 2,il y a rien qui s’enregistre et sur les 99 presets du H9 core c’est pareil.

 

Par contre quand je passe par les 2 H9 tout seul sans mapping,sans programme,je peux organiser les 2 H9 en passant par XMT MAP dans les réglages du H9.

J’ai essayé aussi de repartir du midi OUT du H9 CORE (midi2) au midi IN du BOSS ES8 mais ça change rien.

 

Après des heures de recherche je suis perdu,j’ai lu les notices du boos es8 et du H9,regarder des videos ou on voit des mec qui enregistre tous ce qui veulent en canal midi ,jusqu’à 8 c’est pour cela que j’ai besoins de votre aide ,je suis bloqué merci ,si vous pouvez m’expliquez.

Sorry – I still am not sure I understand.

As far as I can see, your problem is that you are controlling two H9's, one on MIDI channel 1, the other on MIDI channel 2. The channel 1 unit works as you expect, the other does not.

Assuming that I am correct, here are some possible causes:

1) I can't find any information on a Boss SS8 – I assume you mean ES-8. This is a complex unit and it is quite likely that it is not set up correctly – you should contact Boss for support.

2) If you are connecting BOSS -> H9 -> H9, this may be the problem. Try connecting the Boss directly to the second H9 and see what happens.

      If this then works, reconnect and try setting the first unit first to MIDI/OUTPUT=THRU, then MIDI/OUTPUT=MERGE.

      If it does not work, the problem is probably either the Boss or your cabling.

Bonjour,

J’ai le même assemblage, ES8-H9MAX-H9Core qt un Strymon timelin en bout de piste.

 

Ca fonctionne très bien.

 

Il faut que vous configuriez vos H9 – Midi Output mode en Thru et que vos canaux soient configurés différemment sur caque device midi.

Donc du ES8 midi out au H9Max midi in (midi receive channel 1), du h9 max midi out au H9 core (midi receive channel 2) midi in….et autres si vous avez d’autres device midi.

 

Sur votre ES8, il faut faire attention aux config de patch  Il y a des valeurs par défaut ayant un offset de 80 qui cause des maux de tête.  Lorsque vous aurez compris, ca sera très simple de répliquer pour toutes vos configurations   IL y a une série de 3 video sur internet ou la configuration du ES-8 est abordée de long en large….vraiment génial.  Vous allez voir ou ca bloque dans votre cas.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxfUo-TIO-s
