Hi.
I know there is a usefull LED indicator but I'm really curious why other digital stompboxes don´t use this light indicator and how Eventide handles this clipping issue internally. Is there a buffer,a limitter?
Thanks a lot

There is an analog soft clipper at the front end, and then many effects have compression or limiting.
The LED lights a bit ahead of the overload point as a warning.

Thanks in advance!
Would you mind pointing any situations I should be aware in order to avoid this "clipping" issue? I mean if I use a guitar with an active pickup or Boss SD-1pedal plugged into Modfactor. Is there a proper volume level to be set?

You have to drive it pretty hard to hit the limiter. The first defense would be the guitar/line switch on the back panel.

Sorry Nicholas, my english is not very "sharp" (I speak portuguese). What do you mean by "drive it pretty hard"?
Thanks a lot for your time.

Apologies..
"drive it pretty hard" = "give it a very high signal level"

Nicholas, my last question. I promisse!
When you said "and then many effects have compression or limiting" are you talking about Eventide stompboxes effects or other brands?

I'm talking about our effects – but don't ask me which ones have which – too difficult.
