How to connect a RME Fireface 800 with a Eclipse ? SPDIF VS ADAT ?

Hello everybody is there anyone who is using a FF800 and how do you folks have your setup ?

I have FF800 SPDIF into Eclipse Spdif and back and wordclock from FF800 is controlling a Eclipse.

Everything is working fine but now i´m gonna get Lavry DA10 and only way for me to connect a  Lavry with FF is with S/pdif and i see that Eclipse have ADAT as FF800 but i have never used adat and i think it works for 8 channels 

Can i use  ADAT from FF into ADAT(Eclipse) istead of Spdif ??

Not using a FF800, but an old RME Multiface. I used it with a Eclipse connected via ADAT on optical or SPDIF on RCA: both work great.
