      If I wanna use the H9 for my vocals can I not just plug in my mic with a XLR-Jack cable? And then go from the H9 to my interface(which has a good preamp)?

      It would depend on the microphone – the H9 input is designed for a guitar. Most microphones will not have enough signal level and probably expect a lower impedance.

      Try it, and if it works, well and good.
