So what I’d like to do is use the H9000 to replace more plugins in my workflow and the way I see this happening is to make and save Emote presets. I work in Studio One. The problem is Emote needs to get smarter somehow. Currently, I use 8 analog and 8 ADAT IO, which would give me a total of 8 stereo FX. I’d like to save my favorite reverb and name it Reverb in my Emote favorites and so on and so forth. The problem is how to assign IO with this kind of workflow? I’d love Emote to ASK in this kind of a situation. Maybe a dialog box where I can quickly assign IO as opposed to dragging virtual cable lines across the screen or tapping numbers in Emote. Maybe a different kind of state where the H9000 session gets populated as you drag in more and more emote plugins into your session. Hope I’m making sense and hope this is someday possible. Already to Emote’s fault, we cannot save favorites in order to quickly pull up our go to algos (unless I missed something). This new way of using the software and hardware would really be a huge way to better implement the H9000 into common workflows. Just my humble opinion. The closest I can get to this is save my 8 favorite algos in an H9000 session, but this is quite limiting considering I have to pick one size fits all algos or deep dive which I would like to avoid.

Hello,
Thanks for your post. Favorites are not currently available on the H9000/Emote, but we’re working on this for a future update. I’m sorry, but what you are requesting for auto-routing via a plug-in is very complicated and not something that we are currently considering.
As far as using the H9000 to replace plug-ins, with a little bit of effort your can create a DAW template that has all of your ADAT and analog send/return channels setup for the H9000 automatically. For example, my Ableton Live default template has 4 effects busses, 1 for each FX Chain. These busses are automatically routed to the H9000, because I’ve configured them to be that way in the DAW template. I simply need to load up an H9000 session that matches this routing, and everything is setup. You can create a few different H9000 session templates for the algorithms/FX Chains that you use more frequently. If you save that Session with Emote loaded as a plug-in, then you can recall of the same settings the next time you load the DAW project.
Let me know if that is useful.
