Is there any way to have the metronome algorithm pull it’s BPM from the H9000 tempo? I’m trying to sync up the metronome and looper algorithms so I only have to set the BPM once.
I might also suggest to just add a metronome into the looper algorithm. Is it possible to open existing algorithms in VSIG and merge them like this?

The metronome algorithm cannot be synced to the H9000 tempo.
Can you please elaborate on your looper setup? You can use tempo sync for any of the time based algorithms and that will sync them to the H9000 tempo. Why do you also need to have the metronome algorithm?
You can use VSig to open existing algorithms, but the 9110 Looper algorithm from the TimeFactor is not available for the public to access. There are other looper algorithms from the H8000 that you can download and edit.

I’m trying to use the looper with an instrument that requires both my arms and legs (pedal steel). Here’s my workflow
– Set H9000 tempo to 120BPM
– Set metronome to 120BPM
– Load 16 Beat Auto Loop algorithm
– Press record, note metronome lines up with beats, wait for beat to hit 16 then press PLAY (just recorded 16 beats of silence)
– Press record to enter DUB
– Get in position to play guitar
– Play 16 beats of guitar (referencing metronome for tempo), stop playing once it starts looping
– Press record to exit DUB
The key here is that I am not pressing record at a specific time, I press it a bit before I start playing and a bit after I stop playing. Open to suggestions if there is a better way to accomplish this.

Thanks for the information.
Do you need to audio reference from the metronome or is it just visual? When you use the looper algorithm, there is a transport display that shows the current state of the looper (rec/dub/what beat you are on). Can you use the transport as a visual guide instead of the metronome?
If you need the audio from the metronome, you can use a DAW which can give you an audible metronome instead of using an H9000 algorithm. You can set the H9000 tempo mode to DAW, and open up Emote as a plug-in, then the H9000 and looper will be synced to your DAW.

The audio reference definitely helps with time keeping. Good to know about the DAW method, although it won’t be helpful if I am on the go without a computer.
