Need Chipmunk Effect

We're working on a song that requires a chipmunk effect on the backing vocals. The vocals are already recorded. Can anyone point me to the best preset and possibly the settings needed to achieve Alvin & the Chipmunks? Thanks very much – Tee

you can try any pitch shifting preset, using a single voice Many offer from 2 to 4 voices pitch shifting). Try an octave higher (+1200 cents) or even more for chipmunks mayhem.

I would probably start using Multishift 2 (#164). IF your voice signal/track is a stereo one, then use St.Shifter (#162) as it will preserve the input stereo image.

These 2 presets are the clean algorithm you can start with. Set the LOWNOTE to the lowest note in the signal. Set it on C2 if it's dialogue.
